I am not sure why you made this a gender related issue Umair, the harmful effects are down to profit driven algorithms behind everything, it affects all people equally, maybe less noticeable in the rate of male suicide because that was already horrendously high.

You never seem to acknowledge the harmful effects of profit driven algorithms, maybe because you do quite well by them in the current platform.

They are designed to make profit, not save lives, as long as we keep ignoring the harm done by algorithms continuously seeking horrifying sensational stories, horrifying events including loss of life of all descriptions will continue until the platforms go non profit, and the only way that can happen is if they all do it together.

The electronic connectivity of people with one another by itself is not a bad thing, it is an incredibly good thing which has probably already prevented many events that might have led to world wars previously.

The fly in the ointment is the fact that it is all done for profit.

Connectivity is a very good thing, secrets can no longer be kept, cancellation culture is a very bad thing which reduces connectivity and value.

It suits harmful forces to be able to keep secrets, voluntary mass cancellation of everyones connectivity is the perfect result for forces that wish to alienate folk from one another.
