You being a scientist should be able to get your head around that, its a massive, existentially important difference, actually.
If you get how it works, you should see its an unstoppable force of nature that will come through all business for profit including these huge advertising companies. It sounds like they must be healthy if the are "big" enough to evrn consume one another, but look, they are skating on the ever thinner ice of profitability, lika all business, the enetgy value is disappearing from the money we all use, as well as the businesses becoming automated assimilated by the solar Ai.
Even Musk knows we will have to have a UBI, and when that starts, work becomes optional, so bang goes all capability of maintaining energy slave hierarchy.
