I am in agreement with you that the carbon footprint, and obsession with carbon is not what it seems to be, but the systems analysis shows it to be woefully misrepresenting the full seriousness of where we are really at.
See any bad things going on around you? No crime where you are? No inflation affecting your money? Nobody close to you died or suffering with cancer? Never experienced or been near a shooting? No rivers near you progressively drying up? Nobody you know been forced into homelessness by circumstances out of their control? The list of bad stuff is actually already almost infinite, even covid has to be added, so still it gets bigger. New hazards arise every day. Buildings becoming more and more likely to fall down from neglect, train crashes, disease. These are the things only affecting humans. If you knew how much life is being removed from the planet of species other than us, you would be shocked. If not, you should be, and scared. If not for you then for your kids.
The formal systems analysis of the energy problem shows all this to be related. It's a system all connected by energy, and the way we use it.
You don't need to depend on the word of anyone else to do this. All you need to know and understand is E=MC squared, and that money is energy, always, no exceptions.
You know we are taking energy from Earth, but the sun is putting energy into it. All of life in nature is what adds the energy of the sun into Earth, this is creation, whilst what we take out is destruction. Notice we removed a lot of species of life, and are continuing to do so. So the rate of energy being put to use on Earth by nature is reducing.
This is whilst the rate we extract at is increasing.
But the rate of energy coming from the sun doesn't change, it's always the same. So if less of the energy of the sun is being put to use, then more of that energy has to become heat. This is what we have to deduce from E=MC squared. And sure enough we are measuring temperature rise, so we have to expect greater incidence of fires, because the probability of fire increases exponentially beyond flashpoint. This is how explosions from constantly raising the temperature of combustible materials works. Eventually the temperature surpasses flashpoint, and everything burns. The millions of hectares lost to fires this year are nothing to what we will see next year. I said that last year, and I am saying it again now. Also we have to expect more volcanic and Earthquake action. These have to happen because as the planetary temperature goes up, we see more and more extremes of atmospheric pressure, more storms. High pressure pushes downwards on the surface of Earth, low pressure lets the pressure within Earth to push outwards, encouraging things to burst. The pressure cycling combined with raised average temperature stresses everything physical. So we should expect increase of Earthquakes and volcanoes, and sure enough this is what we are seeing, besides more buildings falling down without Earthquakes, lack of maintenance is down to lack of money, which is lack of energy.
Unless you happen to be in the elites, you will have noticed money is becoming harder to come by. The relative cost of life has gone up forcing many folk into multiple jobs just to try to keep the roof over their heads. A personal health crisis can result in you being suddenly bankrupt. This is as a result of the way we use money not to empower but to enslave. We don't get any if we don't conform to the system, and if we make an error misjudging cash flow, well tough. Cash flow is energy flow. Your body needs to metabolise at least 150 Joules per second 24/7 to survive.
The energy content of money is related to how easy it is to extract the energy. Easy profit requires that energy to be easily extracted. The profit chain starts with a little energy put in to extract the energy, and a lot more coming back out. All of it coming from Earth. This is how profit works, it is a kind of robbery of the planet, we never acknowledge that the planet put far more energy into creating whatever was destroyed in the transaction, we only consider what we put in vs what we got out.
But it's given by E=MC squared.
But the planet doesn't matter, it isn't a person, nobody got ripped off, right?
Well it does matter if we are doing it faster than it can put it back, and actually it took billions of years to create.
So it does matter.
Do the same thing for thousands of years with an ever expanding population and of course it has to catch up.
Now it's catching up.
We can see this as the end, if profit is the only way we see of doing things.
The elites who believe their privelige has to exist if life exists, might argue this has to be the end, because they can't imagine a life that they won't be able to wield power by profit, they might even deliberately try to condition everyone else into believing that is what has to happen, but that would not be what nature wants. Nature wants life, creation, we know this because when a life is created, it creates more life. Positive multipliers apply to creation, which uses the energy of the sun, converting it to things other than heat. The energy of the sun is mathematically positive, adding to Earth.
The energy we take out is mathematically negative, subtracting from Earth.
All that profit made, in history, was energy taken out of Earth.
Negative multipliers apply to use of that negative energy. The more of it we use, the more expensive life becomes, the more ultimately unsustainable it becomes.
Plants show us how to use energy correctly. They show how it should be distributed to all things needing it.
We can work out again from E=MC squared that they reduce temperature by converting the energy of the sun to things other than heat.
This is fundamentally the only way to get and maintain an optimum temperature on Earth.
It has to be done by adding life, not taking it away.
We will never get that by the destruction required by profit so it is profit that has to go.
Mainstream science has become corrupted by becoming dependent on profit for all outcomes, I am sorry to say as someone devoted to the scientific endeavour all my life. I am no angel, I chased profit and made plenty of it before understanding the issues and stating to chase down the problem around 2017. But now seeing fully how it works, and knowing I want to see a better world not just for me but my daughter and all the other kids out there, it is our responsibility (science) to put this right.
To do that we have to accept that religion was right about some things.
Stealing energy from the planet is dishonest and unsustainable. The effects of it are now immediately existential. We have nuclear war looming, global burning, global flooding, earthquakes, and volcanoes all becoming commonplace, to add to carnage fron crime, millions of homeless, hundreds of millions fleeing disaster as immigrants, all of it is avoidable and instantly fixable by renouncing profit and starting to issue money reflecting the economic product created from use of solar energy. That would be us effectively changing the mathematical sign of money, from negative to positive.
From that point on we would be monetising creation, instead of monetising destruction.
This would instantly empower all people to implement as much solar energy infrastructure as we can get with the money, so as to maximise future stipend. It would also repair the value of money, putting real positive energy into it for the first time ever (except during covid stimulus, we saw it there, briefly)
And it would start to wind temperature back down, instantly.
Anyhow I could go on about this a long time, sorry it is already war and peace in response to what seems to me your ill informed dismissal that mainstream science might be right that there is an environmental problem.
There is a problem alright but it's a problem which they and we all contributed to just by participating in the profit driven system, and because we don't seem to want to admit that, we are constantly understating the extent of the problem.
Get this clear, we are wtnessing the end of all life, very soon, if nothing is changed, very soon.
