I always wondered why ads seem to be an exception to the old legal requirement of "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".
And now, with the spam we have to put up with, tempting, threatening, terrorising, disrupting what might be otherwise be very valuable thoughts processes and activities; the loss to the species is staggering to think about.
