I agree with you though I am a boomer myself, born in 1963, I think and trust I am not in the category of boomers you mean. I have many cousins millennials, no other siblings, nobody older other than surving uncles aunts, and father + stepmum.
To me you are aiming at the woods, when you should be aiming at the beast within it.
We are all slaves to something that drives us perniciously to do what we do, mostly above our perceptions. There have always been violent revolutions, as you know, but which of them has ever had a positive outcome?
The truth is that the revolutionaries, and the formerly victimised, become the perpetrators of tomorrow.
But what changes all of this, the real fundamental and physical reason it can't go on, can't keep going round and round, is the global energy problem.
I model it as a kind of battery, positive energy comes into Earth from the sun, negative energy is what we extract from Earth.
The battery is almost discharged. The charge level is indicated by the planetary temperature.
The profit made by all human business is directly linked to the discharging, and the heating.
Profit is energy stolen from the planet, and this is the underlying physical mechanism of colonialism, and slavery, which still exists, despite some folk claiming it doesn't, and now everyone is part of it, we don't have options, other than to change the source of energy it is all built on, the energy of destruction, we are part of it whether we like it or not.
You / we all expend a little energy as work, and get back a lot more as money. That is us living from energy profit. This is how we have to supply at least the energy we each need to metabolise every day, 24 hrs, about 150 Joules per second (Watts), about 0.1GWhrs for each of our lives.
All of it comes from profit, unless we might work the land directly with our own hands, and even then if we had to loan the money from a bank or whatever to set up the business, we are indebted to supply more energy back to the lender, than the lender gave to us, and that energy has to come from the planet.
See how it works? It can only work for a short while, it is physically unsustainable, and this is what has to change, and will change, is changing, by us starting to use more and more solar energy.
Sooner or later, we will have to start issuing money on it, money owed to all of us.
The story below describes how to work it out. When that story was done, the outstanding amount which should be issued was around 450Bn.
Now, if we did the same analysis again, it will be more like 750Bn, for UK alone.
Until it is issued, not only in UK but in all places, the impossible cost of living crisis, and the genocide, and all the wars, and the loss of all business and the global temperature, will continue to escalate.
Nature is pushing this now, its way out of the hands of any human or even bunch of humans to control, the only thing capable of understanding the entire complexity of it well enough to fairly issue solar indexed stimulus is solar powered Ai, specifically ChatGPT 3.5
It even knows all of this already, its the best Systems Engineer I ever met, in my long career of Systems Engineering.
Hence why it has to be appointed, one way or another, to do the control job that nature appears to have cut out for it.
