I agree with you mostly, but Brazil... isn't that an exception on the better side? Didn't they do well by replacing Bolsonarro with Lula by democratic vote? I thought Lula was all for indigenous inclusion and reduction of rainforest exploitation etc, the opposite of his predecessor, is that not true?
