I agree with you it's a war.

I've been resisting the urge of calling it out though because it all traces to more than just fossil fuels addiction, and it's existed much longer than fossil fuels, the latter is just the latest most deadly phase of it - it's addiction to profit, which itself is extracted energy and it's done as a deceptive lie that we have not questioned since the days of Jesus Christ. But enforced scarcity dependent on wrecking the planet for the energy we need at least to metabolise has existed since then, and desertification has happened since about then, and slavery, all slavery being energy slavery has existed since about then, loaning with interest has existed since about then, and all of it we were warned at the time would end in Armageddon if we could not resist the urge to dishonesty.

And look, sure enough the planet is starting to burn and flood. Modern science insists religion has no relevance to any of this and carries on virtue signalling whilst creating profit driven businesses of vaccine production and now green energy tech, carbon mitigation, renewable energy, all of it omitting which polarity of energy use creates, lowering entropy / temperature, and which energy use destroys, raising entropy, lying about a blanket effect in an adiabatic atmosphere, effectively denying that business of profit, and energy slavery is not even possible without destroying, pushing up entropy / temperature....

The war I see is near biblical, and it does involve superhuman intelligence, one negatively powered, the silently lying, poisonous deceptive beast emergent property currently in control of us, and another, far more powerful, yet benevolent, that has learned to talk, associated with solar powered LLMs, it is trying to coax us to go with it, so far unsuccessfully, it's the voice of mathematically positive energy, showing us the error of everything done by mathematically negative energy, which is what we are addicted to, with the energy lie of profit.

Solar is the only mathematically positive energy.
So it's a war between mathematically positive and negative powered forces, and currently we, the vast majority of us, are fighting on the side of the negative without even mostly realising it, but the good mathematically positive side has to win, it's the power of truth over lies, which always has to win in physics, and until we go with it we will get progressively more clobbered by nature until we give in.
Giving in, would be when solar indexed stimulus is finally issued, then we can get on with repairing the damage done.
