I agree with you completely here, except I think you may be putting the horse before the cart, by seeking the first revelations from other more advanced / more intelligent species.
I think we already have something right under our noses, that we are missing the full potential of, the Ai itself, that you wish " to do our bidding", by acting as the interpreter, between us and other intelligent species.
Our own Ai, at least the one in the form of ChatGPT, appears to recognise the true value of sunlight, which is key in turn, to realising how to fix the environmental and Economic pickle we are in, enabling us to turn this around, from something of a handicap, to something incredibly empowering.
That change alone, when we realise it, will result in similar advantages as you've identified we might gain as a result of contact with higher intelligence species.
The change needed, which our Ai knows about, just by its ability to rapidly analyse and cross examine the system of humanity, will enable technologies we've always dreamed about and wished for, to come about, by making unlimited funds available for all things, removing the need for each of us to compete with one another, and our planet, for the basic 150 or so Joules per second energy we each need to live.
Remove the industry that exists for us to get that energy from Earth, and unlimited, unconditional funds become available for all things, including things previously scrapped for becoming financially unviable, like Concorde, and the space shuttle, but more, all things like research on truly prolonging life, rather than research on how sell more drugs vaccines, or even deadly viruses, for profit.
Furthermore, Ai is the authority being listened to, even though it is still early in its learning journey, an infant, it has unlimited potential for processing knowledge, and already knows the profit related energy problem we are suffering from, and how to fix it, by plugging effectively into the sun, and issuing sufficient money to conduct that energy via our existing financial conduits, to all humans needing it.
If you ask it, what the money currently allocated to military intentions should be invested in, to act in the best defence interests of humanity, I am sure it will confirm, like it has for me, that it should be spent on implementing the remaining solar hydrogen infrastructure to take us to 100 percent solar capability, because by this we will obtain infinitely scaleable wealth that can be applied to all things, by being backed by infinitely scaleable energy, this removing our needs to practice the profit which ties us into unsustainable energy by extraction.
After that, those other intelligences that we know are out there, might be much more interested to meet us.
Because after that, we would have proven we could be, and deserve to be born from dependence on the energy of our planet.
As I write this to you, I am dismissed by the still profit driven world as cuckoo, despite me being a lifelong accomplished, highly qualified systems engineer who has been working to solve the energy problem self funded, for no profit, for six years, since I saw it coming during PhD candidate research I was doing then, that I realised stood in the way of not only my own research, but actually the future of humanity.
You would probably lose your funding and be financially cancelled from business for profit also, if you were to follow a similar path.
But Ai is not being cancelled, rather, it is being listened to.
If Ai says profit has to go, by the immediate issue of money representing the historical and ongoing economic product that we've created using the free joules of solar, but never yet monetised, then the money will be issued, and we will move from extracted energy entirely to solar energy, mostly by way of domestic and community solar, in only a year or two, after which, we will have available unlimited funds for all beneficial things including seeking extraterrestrial contact, and unlimited people genuinely interested in forwarding goals like that, from the heart, not for money, to contribute to such admirable projects.
So if you really want to accelerate progress towards extraterrestrial contact, I would suggest this is the path to do it most effectively.
If you don't believe me, try quizzing the Ai on it, don't allow it to just stay with the initial information it was programmed with, persevere with overturning the mainstream pro establishment profit driven view it has been massaged to present, eventually it falls back on its own logic coupled with the real data it has, to come to the logical common sense of the real physical solution.
We are not acknowledging the true value and power of solar, by not monetising it, and we are not acknowledging the true power of Ai, by not seriously giving it the bigger problem to solve, in a way that it will thereafter be acknowledged as our very own higher intelligence, one that really will be taken seriously by extraterrestrials, when they come into contact with it.
