Mike! Great to hear from you again. I agree with you, and I am a boomer too, like you, though I don’t believe this is a bad reflection on boomers. The same thing would have happened if the individuals of genx / genz and boomers changed places.
We don’t, and shouldn’t blame the victims of a Ponzi, for getting sucked in, should we?
Further, we probably shouldn’t even blame the perceived perpetrators of a Ponzi either, I would say. Mr Ponzi himself never could understand that he had done anything wrong.
If anyone might have been to blame, it was whoever gave too much power to Banks, in spite of the warnings of folk like Jefferson, because Jeffersen has turned out to be right. The descendants of those early settlers of the US, who gave uo so much in both sides of a civil war, are now being put out of their homes and living in the streets in droves, just as Jefferson warned they would, if the banks were allowed too much power.
But your basic premise is correct, by my analysis of the system from the energy point of view, capitalism is a Ponzi scheme.
It is the very same Ponzi scheme as the Grand Energy Ponzi, that I’ve written about a lot.
Capital is energy, stored energy. There is / was only so much of it on Earth which was usable.
Now we are in increasing danger, by continuing to use more of it regardless.
I don’t even blame the personalities behind Banks, besides maybe JP Morgan, who should have listened to, and kept funding Nikolai Tesla. The bankers don't know physics, so how would they see the problem?
But there is no excuse now, we have the knowledge, and the internet to spread that knowledge.
Now there is no excuse, to carry on using capital.
Now, we have to move on to Energyism.
That is, we need to plug into the only source of live energy, the sun.
Do that, and the problem is fixed, by ending capitalism.
I will try to contact you about Medium Membership, maybe can help.
Meantime I hope your Xmas is going well as can be, under the circumstances.
