I agree with Francis in principle. All restrictions we are currently seeing to travel of all kinds will be removed, when we switch to clean fuel, as well as the threat of nuclear war, imminent hunger / poverty, climate change, and pretty much every other existential threat we are seeing.

Specifically hydrogen, created by electrolyisis directly from solar.

This could be done in all communities, the technology to create hydrogen in a way that it is reusable by the community solar power installation exists, to back up community microgrids electrical power, which also generates a constant ouput of excess hydrogen. All communities can do thiis, contributing unused hydrogen to the transport ecosystem. Internal combustion engines are convertible to burn hydrogen, and EVs are convertible to dual hydrogen EV, by swappint out the battery for a reversible hydrogen fuel cell.

All of this requires no grid, in fact makes grids redundant, lots of resources to gain from dismantling those.

All it needs is for banks and money issuers to recognise and acknowledge "Kardashev Money", and start to issue it, everything else falls into place. All communities will quickly come to this solution, given sustained Kardashev Money.

You are a professor, you will have heard of the software tools Matlab/Simulink.

Those tools contain the models needed to model these systems of solar combined with hydrogen electrolysis and fuel cells.

Further, economies of scale are already being sought by businesses involved in the manufacture and supply of hydrogen components, in addition to the more mature solar components.

Vietnam shows what can be done with solar, given the right incentive, their grid can only handle 2GW solar at any time, but they have 16.5GW solar, implemented by local communities all over Vietnam.

They have still to make the connection with hydrogen, but it is coming.

The money in all countries will continue to devalue as long as it does not reflect the valuable solar product being put to use, and the only way it can be reflected is by Kardasheve Money.

That looks like mother nature at check, with one move to mate, in the challenge of humanity vs nature, it seems to me.
