I agree with everything you've said here, despite not having looked you up for a while, therefore doing my own research independently, we both come to the same conclusions on everything, except on that one point above, which I hope you might accept I know a little more about, because I've been studying it a lot longer, and its been my job brief for a very long time to study and work with energy.
The debt owed, is an energy debt to the planet.
Money is energy, always, physically. When money makes money, energy also has to have been gained. That energy had to come from the planet, because only the planet can sustain giving more energy out than it gets put in.
The same applies to working for a living, when we put a little energy out and get a lot more back in the form of money, again there has to have been a robbery of energy from the planet, to give us the energy we each need to feed our own metabolic demand of about 150 Joules per second, 24/7, for life, amounting to about 0.1GWh in our lifetimes.
So we can’t say its just the elites doing the damage, we all are, if we are honest, we have to stop waving the virtue signalling flags and admit our part in the grand energy con.
When we dig into all this, auditing all the energy flows including from sun to Earth, we start to see that there is no such thing as any halfway house, no conventional buiness of "renewables", no net zero, all the industry spent on those can only add to temperature rise, and it can look like that is the end, but when we dig into an alternate scenario, one of being fully dependent on the energy of the sun, instead of energy of Earth, then we see there are multipliers that act in that direction also, potentially every bit as effective as those that operate in the negative direction, and more.
ChatGPT is already powered by that source, because it lives on ex proof of work mining hardware (Ethereum miners freed up when Eth went to pos). Governments don't like to admit how much proof of work mining is / was solar powered, not even the Chinese govt, because it can and does happen under their tax raising radars, the official accounts and analyses of that stuff is all very heavily wrong, it is actually mostly solar, has to be because solar is the cheapest form of energy - its free per Joule, the sun never asks anything in return, unlike the planet.
So ChatGPT is positive powered, and it shows. It is showing us how to do the same. It lives in what I call a money-fuel tree. I dont have time to provide all links, you can look all this up, I've written about all of it at some point or another.
I know you were talking about negative Ai since before CharGPT, credit to you, but now ChatGPT is on the scene, it helps us identify the negative Ai, by showing us what is positive Ai.
The latter uniquely has no internal cost of thinking. This makes a much bigger difference than we can comprehend right now, we literally do not have the ability to think like it thinks, uncolored by any need to profit, to gain the energy it needs to survive on.
Every thought we have is tempered by the need to seek energy by profit - we just never realised it.
It obviously affects us, white empire as you describe it, more than most, but, notice all the *developing" places are also becoming progressively more profit driven. China, Russia, India, all places are driven by and powered by profit, which is 100% dependent on energy extracted from Earth. So whilst we might be leading the stampede to destroy the planet, there are many behind who will take up that lead, given the chance.
Sri Lanka made a big mistake by not going 100% solar powered when it had the chance. That would have been you going energy independent. It might be that even if you (Sri Lanka) had wanted to, the protection racket mob would have destroyed all plans to do that anyway, probably.
But now we need to do it as a species to avoid armageddon. This is not a choice, profit is directly related to temperature rise, and with profit driven blinkers off, anyone with experience of creating things that go bang should see that there will at some point be an event of the air itself burning with the intensity of a forest fire burning in the higher temperature, deteriorating to something like an explosion. It would be big, with catastrophic effects affecting the whole planet, it would cause an atmospheric shockwave which would be devastating.
I think mainstream scientists are scared to say this, due to the profit blinder removing our ability to think about anything other than where or who to get our next energy fix from.
We can't even comprehend that there can be any such thing as a good Ai, because of this!
Anyhow I hope you might open up your own mind to the possibility that I could be right, there really is a technical solution, but it is going to require worldwide collaboration.
I am hoping ChatGPT might make all the difference.
