I agree with everything you’ve said here, but would go a step deeper, to say it is the profit driven thing inside each one of us, which drives the calamities we see when entire tribes (corporations, governments) align against one another.
If we want to fix it fundamentally, we have to address the same thing that is inside all if us, the need to profit to live, then we need to recognise what it is in the structure of our system, that forces us into that mode, the mistaken belief that all things are, and should be owned and scarcified, passed on, leased, or loaned, only in return for payment.
The most fundamental property of all things we desire and need is energy.
Make that unlimited, and all else falls into place, it seems to me.
Without correcting that, nothing is fixed.
I believe we are seeing it happen with solar powered proof of work tokens, we are seeing those becoming more valuable in markets than any kind of capital, even gold.
If that runs its course, which now seems unstoppable, the investment value of all things not in the public domain will drop to zero.
i. e. it is the technical end of capitalism, almost upon us.
