Yes everything you claim about 3 or more degrees temperature rise is probably true, with all the horrendous consequences, actually it is worse, a nonlinear hyperobject, bringing things about much sooner than anyone can calculate, including even nuclear war, this year, maybe next, especially economically, but your fundamental reasoning used to conclude eliminating coal is all that needs to be done, is badly amiss, so your conclusion is way out.

Where it goes wrong, is when you claim there is a known, fixed figure per kWhr for carbon emissions from solar.

This could not be further from the truth, the net systemic effect of using solar, the only actual energy source in the solar system, is reduction of carbon at source, by an actually incalculable amount, accumulating over time.

If you, or Lund wanted to do a truly valuable research project, it would be to identify this. But such a project would never be funded by any profit driven entity, since the end conclusion has to lead also to the conclusion that profit itself is the thing that needs to be questioned.

I've even done this research myself over the past seven years, self funded, as the latest part of an already long career in systems Engineering, but no profit driven entity wants to hear it.

However, it is the only actual solution to "Saving the planet", given also observations that it is what nature will, and is, pushing us to, one way or the other, unless we choose to self extinguish as a species by not doing it.
