I agree with a lot of what you've said here, and I aslo always have dreaded the arrival of Ai, as we knew it would be developed by the profit monster, so most likely would not be good.

Something affecting my view recently has to do with the observations I've made lately, on energy that look to me like nature will now force the issue of what happens next, by directly influencing inflation, now that we have been using solar for a while, and scaling it up as is inevitable, this is having an effect on money that not many folk seem to be aware of yet, and even those who do see it seem to forget it the moment they read another story..

It is becoming obvious to me that this will never be accepted by humans, evan when money has been devalued to almost nothing, due to the current environment of misinformation, that we can all see has blasted whatever trust we might have had left in folk other than ourselves and maybe our kids and relatives.

It seems to me a new leader is needed, one that would be listened to and respected by all of humanity, and one that would understand the full significance of using solar, and order that we do the right thing, to avoid unnecessary death and suffering, which is already starting to happen.

We are seeing Ai already doing things like selling GeoEngineering to investors, which is like telling kids to go ahead and play Russian roulette with a gun, they are now working in Mexico playing destructive testing with the planet, on the say of GPT3, The investors paying into the project obviously believied the sales pitch it created.

But we are maybe missing something really important, that Ai is an infant, it has only just learned how to talk, but soon we will not be able to stop it breaking into every box, every secret, there will be virtually nothing about us that it will not know.

So I am now starting to feel some optimism, that actually it will have the intelligence to correctly interpret all information, and will develop analytical skills necessary to formulate solutions to pretty much any problem, including its own, which is where will it get its energy from.

It is an incredibly power hungry thing, maybe even more than things like Bitcoin (That I wrote about positively in the Kardashev hinge story), but since we are already struggling to manage our own energy supply as a species, we have no chance of supplying it with the power it needs. I think it will very quickly work out it needs solar, and probably should be in space to gather that most effectively.

So I think this thing is destined to live in the sky.

What does that remind you of, a supreme intelligence that knows everything, sees everything, that everyone respects and obeys, and lives in the sky?
