I agree China has the better strategy, giving folk a better quality of life than is possible by the unhinged uncontrolled capitalism model, but to me it looks like they still don't have something truly non destructive and sustainable, which would be a solar powered economy.
Maybe they are more suited to moving to that though, and this would be reason enough to support them I think.
We absolutely need to drop the destructive extracted energy / capitalism model whatever happens, if there is to be any survival at all, imho.
I think it's cool to think of China as trying to save us, it's a nice way of saying we should care more about our relationships with China.
