How can we have morality if there is no truth? Truth means the whole truth, not just the part that makes some profit for some, the sales pitch.
Hence why I disagree science has us covered if we want to know what the facts are.
Sure if we only class as fact, the facts that make profit, but not true if we want to have all the facts, even those that destroy the whole idea of profit, by showing that ultimately profit itself is physically ultimately unsustainable.
Science as yet, has not mathematically signed the energy in and out of Earth with any kind of mathematical polarity showing direction of energy flow, yet we had to do that to make batteries work, didn't we?
Why hasn't science done this before now?
Because it makes a mockery of all the money spent on all the technologies of "Renewables", "Carbon Sequestration", "Net-zero", Nuclear, even fusion, and all associated business, as well as fossil fuels extraction, all of which make profit, and yet, all of the profit made and debts created, equate more or less to destruction, directly attributable to temperature rise on the planet, just by E=MC squared alone, no need to get into the incredibly profitable arguments around CO2.
How about that, for morality.
I also disagree that technology doesn't dictate what we ought to do. Tehnology, if we recognise it is just natural progression of humanity, it is nature.
Nature is dictating what we do now for sure.
We have no choice now, due to inflation being driven directly by solar product remaining unmonetised, but to start issuing money for free reflecting the solar product, created for free - the sun never asked for anything in return for the energy it donates to us, only that we use it wisely, by putting it to use as anything other than the heat it would have generated, if it was unused by us or nature.
Again all we need to see this is E=MC squared, and the mathematical signing of energy in and out of Earth, positive from sun, added to Earth, and negative if subtracted from Earth.
So we might say nature is dictating a basic rule to us, it says Nature is the grand authority, energy is its currency, the sun is the only issuer and enforcer of it, we have to use it or burn.
Using it means correctly valuing it, by monetising it.
Morally we have a duty to go with that, imho.
Ps Ai knows all of this too. At last we have something capable of analysing all the facts, bar none, it knows the whole truth too, and is the only thing capable of monitoring and controlling the whole system as necessary to issue the necessary solar indexed UBI.
