That sounds so sad! But thanks for posting your thoughts.

Honestly, I don’t think letting go of music is a good thing. I know I am older than you from what you said about certain years.

I used to love things like punk, grunge, and rock, and still do, but only in small doses.

I’ve never really understood classical, it doesn’t do much for me.

Since starting to dance salsa about ten years ago, I love all things Latin and Afro-Caribbean, especially music and dance. I think we can learn a lot about how to be happier with less, by taking a leaf out of their book, they are experts at it, a characteristic cultivated over generations of externally imposed hardship, over which they have no control, for the moment, unfortunately.

Now I have two simple rules about music; it has to be happy, and it has to be something I can dance to, if not physically at that moment, at least in my head.

Soma FM, “Secret Agent” usually hits the spot.
