Here's the truth: there can be no such thing as a cool lifeless rock, whilst the rock has the energy of the sun on it.
It could be a hot lifeless rock, but never a cool lifeless rock, unless we knocked ourselves out of solar orbit, by Geoengineering for example, another unfathomly stupid idea. Then we'd be a cool lifeless rock wandering in space unless we somehow manged to get fusion, which again could end up being used for propulsion, resulting in us converting our planet to a kind of spaceship. But it would be a society of extreme energy scarcity, probably living by actual cannibalism. "Soylent green" comes to mind. Quite a contrast to "Solein"
The presence of life is what works against entropy,
But I get what you are saying, that we could end up nuking ourselves out of life. It even looks like we are headed in that direction. Hence why we have to try to do what we can to educate on the consequences of carrying on without making the needed change to monetising creation, rather than destruction.
Exciting times! :)
