He has not clicked onto what the original Nikola Tesla had clicked onto. If he has then he is very cyincally doing the opposite. Either way his doing the opposite - tying us into extracted energy, which is a dead end, destroying the planet.
We can't fix the problem by profit, because profit is dependent on energy extracted from Earth.
The Earth gives out more energy than what was put in, this is where the energy in profit has to come from. Whereas we can't trick the sun to give us more energy than it already gives, for free.
Elon, and it looks like you too, are very much driven by profit.
So you can't fix the problem, much as you might like to, it's impossible as long as you are chasing profit.
The original Tesla had this sussed out.
His scheme of tapping off energy from the atmosphere which he believed is charged up by the energy of the sun, like a giant spherical capacitor (the Earth) if it had worked, would have been effectively solar power.
And when pushed, by JP Morgan, as to how this free energy was to be metered, he replied to Morgan, rather naively, they would not be able to meter it, free energy would mean free money, he was defunded and spent the remainder of his life on what was effectively, charity.
So I see the opposite from you dude. Maybe it's because you are on the opposite side of the planet from me, you don't get this:
