Further, if the Matlab Simullink model is framed within a UML model using something like Enterprise Architect, then you can trace to all stakeholders of the system, including actors like Earth, the Sun, Humanity, Nature, etc, to provide traceability to the definitions of all categories, units, guidelines, reference artifacts, and other information used, to show which types of data are of most use, to which actors.
