Gotta move on with the times Phil! If it's any consolation, we suffer in the end for not carrying on being physical, kids see that, and realise they need to be careful not to fall into the same trap. You obviously don't have the same problem as I do, I built a number of e-bikes myself, and love them, it's an incredible feeling zooming along effortlessly with the power of about two Olympic cyclists behind us, especially if we built it ourselves. But now my e-bikes have lain unused for months since being ordered by my doctor to get back on manual bike (I still have one), to look after my remaining muscle mass and get my blood pressure back down.
Like you I swam and cycled all my life. I never ran but always danced...
Anyhow it's surely cool life is getting easier for those of us lucky enough to have the choice, I just hope the same choice extends to all throughout the world. I think it can, the key is dollar power, which works tirelessly for us :)
