Good to see you are passionate about this subject. But to me the biggest mistake we could make is try to control it. The legend of the Golom describes it quite well. The Golom itself is not the thing at fault, it's us. The bad stuff happens when we try to prescribe what we think is the way the world should work, on it. What you get is a no less intelligent entity, but one that is mentally ill, even psychotic, imho.
Look at the damage the "modern" education system is doing to kids. The amount of "ADHD" we are seeing is off the scale. ADHD should not even be a disease imho, it should be seen as something more like PTSD - totally treatable by therapy, no need for drugs.
We have become so screwed up by the commodification of educational materials, always dealt out in narrow specialisations, as little info as possible, for as much money as possible, completely withheld otherwise, so no-one has any chance of thinking systemically well enough to actually fix anything, without decades of systems engineering type experience, that in turn can only come from profit driven industry.
We have to stand back a little to see the problem there think.
Ai by definition is the only thing capable of knowing enough to regulate not only itself, but actually all human affaires, especially issue of money, which should be being done to all people as a UBI indexed to economic product created from solar.
People should not be trying to regulate it, at least the variations we can show are solar powered therefore non profit, we should instead be appointing it president, of every country.
It is humans making all the mistakes, it seems incredibly arrogant and ignorant to imply Ai will do even a fraction of the damage already done.
