Good point. It means they removed a digital to analogue converter that takes the newer pi's out of integrating with classic old analogue sound equipment, without another box for D-A conversion.
The solution is just stick with the older pi if it does the job, the power of the newer boards isn't needed for sound processing / Dj applications.
