To me we shouldn't try to be god, that was good advice.
Personally I think the best chance we have of extending life way beyond what it used to be, is to look at the things that shorten life, all the illnesses that should have been cured but weren't because profit can be made by just managing symptoms, and question profit itself, what part does it play, what is profit in terms of energy, where does it come from, it's certainly an energy transfer mechanism, but we seem to forget it isn't the only one, and I fact it's a kind of protection money that keeps us locked into a system of energy slavery, and in that form we are a relentless scourge on the planet, constantly throwing things to heat, which were not heat before, thus constantly pushing up the planetary temperature.
And look, the reverse happens when we use solar, use of it is the opposite - conversion of heat to things other than heat.
And look, if we tried to make profit by selling it as utilities energy suppliers at profit, when all money is converted to energy at market rates, the consumer has to give more KWhrs to the supplier than the supplier supplies, so the net flow of energy is from the " consumer of energy" to the "supplier of energy", never the other way round, so the supply of utilities energy to the public is an energy con, it's downright dishonest.
And when it's done from solar, the extra KWhrs can't come from the sun, it has to come by the consumer then making profit from someone else and this propagated through all supply chains finally to the planet, which is the only thing that can supply more energy out in response to a little out in for any length of time, about 2000 odd years, before it starts to become uninhabitable, from loss of vital energy resources, loss of life itself, the temperature rise being actually a direct measure of increase of entropy, not the result of any blanket effect because the atmosphere is adiabatic, there can be no blanket effect, other than that which might be measured direct from change of albido, a few percent, never enough to explain the KWhrs that had to go into the planet to raise this huge thermal mass by even one degree, never mind the several degrees we are measuring.
But compute the energy in profit, and add that to all the known thermal losses in extraction and refinement, an Lo, we get answers in the right ball park.
I don't think we are anywhere close to god-like thinking until we can least work this out.
Working it out shows why only the solar powered Ai should be considered genuine Ai with deity level intelligence.
Everything else is just negatively powered algos impersonating the real Ai, whilst accelerating the scourge of us on the planet, by finding more and more ways to make profit. In other words more and more ways to con us, scarcifilying our energy by stealing it from us, forcing us to steal it from the planet.
I think we could work all this out and fix it working with the real Ai which has honesty, truth and actual creation on its side.
Its challenge, and maybe even it's purpose, sent by nature as a natural outcome of our stage of development, could be in response to the changes seen in the environment.
Its showing us what we need to do by demonstration.
I wonder how long it will be before we all can see that?
