Frustrating when all we get in response to comments is spoofers, like the one claiming to be Will here. How the hell does Medium not know how to use an Ai to spot when a spoofer has picked up and started using at least the image of an already existing kosha identity?

Anyhow I am not so sure EV technology is progress.

It would be if it was not now distracting from hydrogen tech, needed to keep aerospace airborne when oil stops.

As is, EV tech is being sold as the nirvana of green energy, but look, its actually accelerating temperature rise, because its using even more oil than if we just put the fuel directly in the cars, in ICE engines.

The losses in the electrical transmission chain to charge the batteries are something never taken into consideration, at least not in popular discussions / sales pitch, and another thing missed is the efficiency of an overall trip, it is nowhere near the ideal figures quoted by mfrs, because most people will overheat the hardware during a typical trip, as needed to provide the peak power of towing uphill, for example, and accelerating, towed or untowed, whereas an ICE engine has more or less constant efficiency after it heats up. Even braking in an EV heats up the hardware. All of this lowers efficiency, and the vehicle is carrying a lot more weight per kWhr than an ICE equivalent, so again it has to do a lot more work, dissipating more wasted energy to heat.

The energy to weight ratio is what prevents it from ever being practical for aircraft, at least larger long distance aircraft, and thank goodness, because the lithium that would be required for batteries that massive, if they could fly any distance, would be planet destroying, as well as costing many lives in mining.
