Fred there is one problem, if I am interpreting your solution correctly, that all humanity outside Panama should somehow cease to exist 😁, the situation of planetary pollution would still be there, the battery of Earth would still be pretty much discharged, and for the task of recharging it, there would not be enough people geographically spread around the world to firstly implement the world scale solar infrastructure needed to connect to the only real source of energy, the sun, needed in order to recharge the battery, by positive work subsequently carried out by humanity.
In other words, to undo the damage which has taken billions of us around the world to do, we now need at least as many billions of people to undo it, powered by the sun, rather than the resources of Earth.
To me our current predicament is a little like a chicken in an egg, which has run out of yolk, and the chicken now needs to peck its way out of the egg.
A similar analogy of a human baby seems to apply, the baby is in the process of being born, mother Earth is cutting the umbilical cord, and the baby is in process of figuring out that it next needs to draw in its first breath of air.
Last thing any of us needs, is the body of our organism in process of being born, to somehow lose a large part of its body at this critical moment... that wouldn't be good, for sure 🙄
