Frank if we are honest, we should see we are indeed the vassal of the US. Look where the money, the orders, and most of the weapons are coming from, it is so obvious, they / we've run out of darker skinned countries to rape and pillage so now we've moved to white.
Notice also the instigators are thousands of miles away, this isn't on their doorstep, it never is. They know this could turn nuclear, but even then they think it will still be just a distant shooting match, they think it would pass with nary a murmur on their shores, and yet it would be a world threatening event, by tipping the climate crisis over the edge.
Something that occurs to me about all of what we are seeing, if we didn't know why religions exist, we should know now. It is by ignoring all the rules of religion we will destroy the species. It warned about this all along, but here it is playing out, because we threw it out.
