For sure, million-volt transmission lines would have voltages in the range of lighting, so it would need to be really well insulated or separated. It brings to mind the technology of Nikolai Tesla, who wanted to capture lightning charge, and transmit that around the world for free, believing it was formed by charge received directly from the sun, which forms charged layers around the Earth in capacitive layers, hence the source of lightning. If so, it is another form of direct solar energy, just waiting to be harnessed. It is almost like we may be converging on the same technology of solar energy collection, from more than one direction.
