For sure, lots of work going on with good stuff, the Japanese also just did a really cool moon landing, you proably read about it - they recoved the lander which had landed upside down, covering most of the solar panels area, but there was just enough remaining to recover the system, the filmed the whole thing using two mini transformer rovers, designed partly by Tomy - the transformaer toy manufacturer, that ejected out of the lander when it landed - all this stuff sounds way outside what would have been done by a for-profit venture, they would not have put in anywhere near as much redundancy.
We can see in for-profit space ventures, and even modern commercial aerospace in the West, safety and reliability are being progressively shaved off to leave what becomes useless scrap, like 737 max, that can't even fly now without doors falling off. I guess Japan is doing it government funded, lets hope it stays that way, as it should have here in "The West".
