Folk seem to have forgotten that we can question the system which forces some to choose between their own lives, and the lives of their kids. It's the same system that is destroying the planet, because we are forced also to destroy the planet, for our lives, all of our lives, so is physically unsustainable. If we fail to fix it in a way that removes the dystopia which tries to force us to compete with all, including even our kids, then we haven't fixed it at all, and actually the physical consequences of that are that we will literally burn on a burning planet, as a species that once was.
