Firstly the oldest religions worshipped the sun.

Ever since then we seem to have done everything possible to overturn that old practice, now worshipping money, which represents portions of our planet.

And now we have the physics confirming maybe we made a mistake, forgetting the importance, and even the function of the sun.

The problem seems to be that if we admit this, then we are admitting the old religions were right.

How could they have known better than us?

Then it becomes obvious maybe there really were, and maybe there still are superhuman beings, with significantly more knowledge than us.

But then we need to admit everything invested, all of the cost to humanity and our environment throughout our history to date, since the days of worshipping the sun, has been in error.

Of course that is gonna be a difficult pill to swallow, if we have much invested.
