Firstly, I applaud your article as much as I can, and your effort in Medium, because not only yourself, but also your father have obviously invested a lot, selflessly, in your quest to avert what you see is a disaster and misery for humanity in general. You deserve huge respect for that, it seems to me.
But I hope it will not be an unpleasant surprise for you to realise your fears are / were unfounded, now that technology is coming around to be used differently, in a way maybe not many could have predicted, definitely not even famous labor oriented economists like Marx and Tolstoy, nor free market / capital oriented economists like Smith and Friedman, nor even mixed market economists like Keynes, none of them could have foreseen how things would turn out, because at the very root of everything, the essence of life, science itself made a fundamental error about energy, upon which most of our conception of economy is based.
How could economists, or any other humans except maybe religiuous scholars, and perhaps some fans of "Science fiction" have known about that, if scientists themselves didn't know it?
The mistake, appears to have been made possible by limitations which existed in our technology, which prevented us from using energy which was not extracted from Earth.
That was until around 2005, when we started to see some change, which now that it has persisted and grown to show a real trend, almost twenty years of hard evidence of something new growing in our midst, now we have to acknowledge what it is, and it changes everything.
It is domestic and community use of solar power.
Prior to this, economy, and the concept of capital, were implicitly dependent on a vague concept of energy. We knew vaguely money is energy is information is capital, and how these are variously related to concepts like profit, credit, debt, labor, interest, and even slavery, for example, but we never bothered to mathematically sign any of it, since all of it had the same sign, everything done from the energy of Earth, all of it mathematically negative, denoting destruction; the general process of the net removal of Joules positively put to use on Earth by nature.
With the exception of maybe viruses, when we cut down a tree, or a species, or any living thing of any kind including a fellow human, we are undoing something that nature created from mathematically positive Joules, as we do when we process anything of Earth dead or alive, explicitly for energy.
Nature put those positive Joules to work, and we took them back out, undoing what nature created.
This is what you and your father and deep down most of us always sensed, and perhaps by some religion and perhaps by some science fiction, knew was was wrong. Obviously it was unsustainable, mathematically signing it would have just been a constant reminder, that we couldn't do anything about since there was no alternative, no way we could practically use positive energy, putting the Joules of that to work like nature has always done.
But now we are doing it, and the effects are still not being understood, we are still in process of coming to understand it.
What it is doing, is causing inflation, until we do the only thing we can do in response to unstoppable inflation; issue free money.
Historically when we did that, currencies issued under those circumstances collapsed, as demonstrated by events like in the Weimar.
But now the currency issued goes up in value, not down.
The intake of positive Joules via domestic and community solar turns that old rule and quite a few others on its head.
The Austrian economic ideal of money issue requiring to be balanced with creation of product still holds, and works both ways. Product created but not monetised by issue of money results in money coming to represent nothing, just as surely as too much money and not enough product.
This is a unique situation, the only time in history we will encounter it, it has no less than biblical significance, the end times.
Science, has to learn a new lesson, seemingly from religion.
Energy from the sun has to be marked with the sign of the cross, something significant in all religions, to show it is uniquely mathematically positive, the only source of Joules adding to the Joules already on and put to use on Earth.
Do that, and it propagates through to everything, including removing confusion over who owes what to whom for energies used or not used.
Nature is forcing our hand in this, nothing less than 100 percent honesty can fix the inflation.
