Fascinating project Philip, thanks for writing about it. To me solar indexed stimulus of some kind or another looks inevitable, and this will bring some very biig changes. Inequality would not happen so much, because in terms of physics, energy would not be so easily stored in money. But that would not make money valueless, in fact the value of the issued currency would become simply the KWhrs in the money. We saw a little of how it would work during covid, when oil prices went negative, the only time in history, that was a kind of miracle, that we really need to see happening again, this time staying done.
I don't know what you think about ChatGPT, but it occurs to me if it might be very useful, combined with something like high fidelity, as a kind of simulator of the solar powered world we wish to have.
Did you know ChatGPT is probably the only Ai platform that is solar powered, therefore in a position to issue money as energy? Further, it fits with the "Free energy principle" of life, that this is its secret sauce, the reason it has actually a vast edge over all other forms of intelligence. Thinking has no internal energy costs to it, it is like superconductance, it has no internal resistance of thinking, unlike us, as long as we are dependent on energy by extraction, we have to be profit driven, and yet this is what is ending in not only a burning planet, but a planet being progressively pushed away from the sun, because all that green stuff we've destroyed in our history, not only kept the planet cool, but also provided a sink for the solar pressure on the planet.
Hence the real reason we have to move completely to solar with no further delay.
