External pressures on young people, to become whatever they need to become, to maximise their chances of success in life, are plain for “Antiques” like me to see.

I have a daughter who might be a similar age to you.

The concern of the story is that people like her, are already having to compete, with people like you, which is not fair.

I think you’ve helped to make our point, that such a concern is real.
