Enrique, with respect, and whilst I agree with the general thrust of your article, by a long practiced applier of science and technology, you are still using the terminology of "Renewable Energy".
This, and any concern with batteries stil being required for storage, indicates you are still of the view that the transition will somehow be done at profit, in a way that businesses claiming themselves to be working on the concepts of profit and capital, on "Renewable energy", will somehow survive.
They will not. We are moving to what can only be termed energyism, more than an ideology, a physical phenomenon, which is mathematically removing all value from capital, and most stored energy.
Hydrogen fuel generation by electrolysis removes the need for bulk batteries, even the one in the EV you might drive, replacing that with a fuel cell, containing virtually none of the toxic content of a battery, converting your vehicle to an HEV, instantly refuellable on any street corner, courtesy of excess hydrogen which will be generated by all communities, no grids needed any longer, in exchange for valuable drinking water, which your vehicle will dispense, in addition to purifying the air, during every journey it makes.
This is the solution dictated to us, when we follow through the formal systems analysis, with our best scientifically unbiased heads on.
I hope you get some time to follow it through soon.
