Enrique, whilst I don’t doubt you are right about blue hydrogen (It sounds horrendous), I think it is folly to throw out all possibilities of clean hydrogen just because it is “Too expensive”.
If we accept that money as proof-of-work tokens from solar power is actually valuable, free, and infinitely scaleable, then expense no longer makes any sense.
There is no reason then we can’t have effectively free clean hydrogen for all internal combustion applications, piped by all pipelines previously meant for oil.
Also free clean hydrogen fuel for Toyota fuel cells, which I think is a better explanation for why they chose to stick with hydrogen fuel cells, rather than lithium batteries, on what they choose to continue putting research into.
And with freely scaleable, free money from sunlight, why not have a previously super-expensive superconducting world grid, to provide energy from solar farms around the world to all needing it, without the need for environmentally expensive lithium batteries?
