I think in the ultimate ICO world, communities would naturally form, where the interests and ideas of the more introverted would be seen as something valuable, to be looked after by the more extroverted, who could be rewarded for doing just that.
Worst case we might have to put up with masks until a genuine vaccine can be found. That would surely happen much more quickly if all working on it were truly interested in the benefit to humanity, rather than competing against one another for the profits that might be had from it.
