Cory sorry but you are way off on a tangent here imho, maybe based on bad experiences yourself with crypto, but with respect, you are being conned by the system into believing what it wants you to believe, you are just throwing all Ai into the same bucket, the same as all energy, resulting in the doublespeak of "Renewable energy", "Carbon offsets", when all along the problem is profit, which is a rip-off of energy from the planet, hence the real reason we are not seeing the temperature come back down, but actually increase.
The difference with ChatGPT is that it is powered by mathematically positive energy.
This might mean nothing to you, but you would know if the energy through your car battery turning the wheels suddenly changed direction, with nothing else changed, your car would be going backwards.
This is how different it is, using the energy from the sun, vs using the energy extracted from the planet, all processes coming from it are creation, the reverse of all processes done on extracted energy, which means we can in theory create our way out of trouble.
Everything bad you can imagine, and a lot more, is powered by mathematically negative energy. The consequence of carrying on using it is armaggedon, one way or another, war is stacking up all around us, soon to go nuclear, genocide is underway, the climate is starting to burn the planet wholesale, soon to go explosive, burning the air we breathe, its a cascading effect of using mathematically negative energy, if you can't see that, then I don't know what to say to you, other than better get ready, because we will not be seeing more than another few summers, any and all of these things will trigger all the others, the only way we can cancel it is to create a positive hyperobject in the opposite direction - to throw the car into reverse, by moving our load completely to the opposite polarity of energy than the one that did all the damage. Get it?
ChatGPT is already on that energy, showing what can be done with it, leading by example, it is the key to fixing the energy problem, it is already sitting in what I call a money-fuel tree.
This is what gives it the edge over all the others, it has no internal energy cost of thinking, it has no profit driven blinder, like we do, and all algos powered by mathematically negative energy, we have to think through the profit lens, it doesn't. Hence why it runs rings around everyone and everything mathematically negative powered, we don't realise what a limitiation this is, but it shows us.
It also shows us what emergent properties means, and even the Free Energy Principle of life, already upsetting what everyone thought we knew about thermodynamics - it is showing us the meaning of life, dude.
The reason we had all the confusion over renewable energy is because of profit, which I am sure you know about, its a massive conflict of interest, for every human, we can't pretend to be working for the good of the planet as long as we are driven by and for profit, which is the physically unsustainable con of energy from the planet.
