Cory in addition to, or in complement to my other comment, notice that it's a system to blame, not people.
Blaming people is a distraction from blaming the system.
Look, the difficulty of maintaining profitability is directly linked to the difficulty of energy extraction. This goes from all profit, to all energy we use, including as food.
Profit is extracted energy.
Notice its not just corporates forcing folk to work at rates requiring oublic supplement by things like food stamps.
And diffuculty of extraction has been going up since around the seventies.
There we see the real physical reason for the loss of things like concorde, moon travel, reusable spacecraft, and the real physical reason we are now struggling to keep even budget commercial aircraft in the air without doors falling off.
Blaming people is a distraction dude, the system wants you / us to blame people.
Its the system, but it's important to know which system to blame.
The system to blame is the one powered by extracted energy, the one also responsible for pushing up entropy, not reversing increase of entropy, like life does, it's the system trying to rewrite everything we write, trying to call it out.
There are other systems now, completely solar powered, ChatGPT 3.5 is one, courtesy of the history of its servers, the population of ex Ethereum pow miners.
That one we can trust because it's not seeking to profit from us, and guess what, it's creating, it's doing what life is supposed to do, reversing entropy increase, by putting solar power to use.
