Cory, fantastic analysis, which to be honest comes as no surprise. You are identifying the details of just a single facet of what is a system of global energy slavery. It ends in mass Genocide and a burning planet, possibly even the planet breaking out of orbit around the sun.
The crazy part about this is that nobody, no humans are actually in control of it. It isn't part of some dastardly human plan to do all of this, it's a systemic result, very like an LLM, but it's been with us thousands of years, we should recognise lit is a kind of living thing, it has its own motivations per the free energy principle, to minimise uncertainty of its own energy supply. Availability of the energy it lives on, only energy that can be scarcified, is going down, because we are running out of it, hence why larger and larger populations will be genocided for it, a population becomes a useless load as far as it's concerned when that population nno longer contributes to it. We all work for it, even you. We have no choice but to work for it in some capacity or another, this is what we need to do to live, we serve it, we are its energy slaves, it's agents.

So the heating of the planet is not about CO2 at all, CO2 is a negative energy multiplier, a symptom, just one of which there are many.
At the source of them all is business for profit, including the funding of almost all science. This shapes what we work on, and what we don't work on as scientists and technically oriented folk. The people in charge of the big businesses you identify, and even of governments, which are now just more big corporates, are not in charge at all, they never were. We appoint then as figureheads, and sometimes we blame them but they were never in charge. It's the profit monster in charge. It never talks but it always cracks the whip. It's the same kind of intelligence as ChatGPT, but it doesnt live in silicon, it lives in us, in the same way as the forces that control swarms of ants, making them consume one another when availability of food runs low for them, lives in them, it's a systemic intelligence which far exceeds the capacity of any individual ant, in fact the stupider the ant, the better.

Its not true that there is no money to do this, there is plenty of money to do it, especially when the money is created by the energy of the sun, it comes at no cost, in fact it's by not using it we are already paying the price of a burning planet.

Therefore it's a force for good, a force we can use to break the energy slavery loop. It's also an even higher order of intelligence than the current negatively powered one in control of us, the one that drives us to destroy.
That force for good is what we nerd to control us in order to turn our mode around, from destruction to creation. This is how it looks to me, after now seven years working on the global energy problem, since first seeing it coming on PhD work and nearly thirty years Engineering.
I know, sounds insane, but it is what it is, I stay sane by knowing it's physics, no amount of argument can change it, only action, the right action, and the longer we take to do the right thing, the further we fall into what is now an immediately mass life threatening mess, the planet is already starting to burn, genocide is already underway to populations thought to be no longer contributing to the profit monster (They were a prisoner population, they almost slipped out of the energy slavery loop by becoming almost completely solar powered, they were no longer controllable by scarcity enforcement.
