Cool you are working on future technology, I hope it goes well.

I too am all for technolgy, but to me now studying the reasons why we have not yet seen a Metaverse, despite having the tech to do that for now almost thirty years, and having watched Engineering icons like the Space Shuttle, and Concorde disappearing (With now even all commercial flight being at risk, at least for most folk), and even a looming food and energy crisis, I would say we are far from "Doing well", we are actually knocking at the door of extinction.

I've written stories from a technical point of view on all of the things you've mentioned, following coming onto a realisation that there is a fundamental underlying problem around 2017, which has got us to where we are, in fact every negative step we've seen, and every truly beneficial technological development in recent history has been held back by one thing - profit.

Get rid of the need to do or have that, and we will make previously unseen leaps in technology that no-one can even imagine right now, it seems to me.

Pretty much all crime, debt, war, in fact everything bad we know is down to the need for all of us to profit or die, literally.

It happens that fixing the problem comes with free energy. With free energy we get free money. But further, with free money we get free energy. So it doesn't matter which one comes first. As we are looking at very soon tens of millions in every country facing homelessness and poverty, and jobs disappearing almost as fast, free money will absolutely be demanded.

The only way to supply that is by monetisation of actual live energy, from the only source of it, the sun.

Do that, and all is fixed very quick, I believe.
