Cool article with some good points, thanks for sharing. I believe AR glasses will smooth some of this over, assuming both are wearing them, because in a good system, both will be able to choose to share their virtual view with the other, to provide a merged virtual view, and if both are looking at the same physical view through the glasses, then their shared view is complete. After that, it is down to whether they are both interested in the same things.

In any case, if someone persistently chooses to be more interested in other parties than the one they are with physically, then that should surely raise a question about their compatibility, whatever the display technology.
