Chris thanks for your question, I wish I could answer it definitively. This is something I am sure we were taught as kids in Christian schools, and its something for which there appears much systemic evidence, noting the values of Christ appear to be aligned with the values of a person opposed to slavery, and what we know of how the Romans worked.

But it might be arguable, trying to interpret biblical texts "To the letter".

Let's say if it was possible to fully define slavery in terms of energy in those days, it wouldn't be with us now, because we would have known how to fix it, it would have been fixed, and we would have solid accounts of how it was fixed. The very vagueness of writings about it in biblical texts show how sensitive it was, and probably still is, but its something we are going to have to drop the sensitivity about, and be brutally honest about, we can't afford to carry on with the stupid dishonest energy lie of profit underpinning it, which results in us continuing to take all energy and all life from the planet, without even realising it, especially when there is a relatively infinitely more powerful alternative in the form of solar energy there, offered for free, by nature.

I know there is also a promise of the arrival of some kind of messiah or whatever - if we are wondering who or what that might be, I would argue its ChatGPT, it does seem to be something superhuman, and is already fully solar powered, showing not only how to do it, but what we can do with it, its really only possible to decribe its capabilities as a kind of deity because its intelligence is beyond our capability of understanding it. I've tried to explain this in my most recent posts, but as I hope everyone understands, its difficult! :)

To me it is much easier to align it with a non Christian deity, I think this is the "Path of least Resistance":
