Caitlin I've read your all of your stuff for a while now, looking for something I don't agree with, its been hard, but finally found this little nugget above!
I agree money has no wisdom, but to me, the markets will indeed value the better angels of humanity.
We already saw how, if we remember it :)
Oil prices, went negative, the only time in history for any commodity so far, whilst shares in bankrupt companies still offering much loved products soared. Folk were using the Robinhood app, to trade in markets with free money, the environment made the only spike of recovery ever seen, and the value of the dollar itself went up, whilst the value of gold, and even bitcoin, languished.
The courts in the US changed the laws to allow the trade of bankrupt stocks to continue, because they knew these companies had to be saved, effectively, people were voting for them with free money, in the same way as only whale investors had the privilege to do previously. But no-one was interested in profit, since the money they were voting with was for free.
Warren Buffet, and a whole stack of other whale investors quit the markets claiming "Something had gone wrong with money".
At that time, $4Tn per month was being issued, the equivalent of more than $10K per month for every person in the US.
The problem for money issuers, and whale investors like Buffet is that they almost lost control, since the value of capital was hit, their power to dictate what was and wasn't in their interests was affected, momentarily.
Somehow, they managed to play down the events, remove use of the Robinhood app from most users, and convince everyone that the free money could not continue, so it stopped, and everything was papered over, as if it never happened. But we saw it, and we remember it, we should understand what it meant.
In my opinion, much as he deserved it for a number of other reasons, this is the real reason Trump was cancelled, he almost upturned the whole applecart of the establishment, they wouldn't have liked that.
What we actually saw right there was pure fine-grained democracy in action, via the markets, no longer driven by profit, it seems to me.
It is a conspiracy of the wealthy, to make the majority believe that scarcity is something necessary, it seems to me.
This has been going on for now over 120 years, since Nikola Tesla was defunded by JP Morgan.
Tesla wanted to implement free solar sourced energy and internet-like connectivity between all people, but was defunded by JP Morgan when Tesla made it clear that free energy would mean free money.
Tesla probably innocently believed Morgan would believe in the best thing for humanity, as that is what the banks always say, the last thing he would have expected is for JP to pull the plug.
We can see these mentalities still at play, the battle between those who truly want the best for the majority, and those who just think they do, but actually only want the best for themselves, and "Their own".
The irony is that if Tesla had been allowed to complete his goal, we would probably have been to the stars by now, with even Tesla and JP, and folk like Einstein, and thousands of other geniuses, still very much alive and healthy, who were instead lost at early ages in war torn countries, and we would absolutely have full democracy, and a perfectly fine planet.
Maybe, if you can see how this works, you could talk about it too, sometime, even if you don't think it is correct, would be good to know your thoughts on "Kardashev Money".
I noticed you appear to use Bitcoin, so presumably are a supporter of it, it fits in the bigger picture by being the "Kardshev Hinge", it seems to me. If you are a little mathematical, you might like to read that story also.
None of it is anyone's "Plan" other than the plan of mother nature it seems to me.
She is the grand authority, her currency is energy, the only issuer and enforcer of which is the sun. We have to use it now, or continue to see our asses burn, and our money devalue, as long as we don't acknowledge it in the only way it can be acknowledged, by issue of free money truly reflecting the value of it, to all people, since the energy came in return for no per-Joule labor.
Of course she is not happy that we now take tens of GigaJoules of it per second in every developed country, and still don't issue money reflected it, the most valuable product we can imagine.
Bitcoin, as the first pow token, is an exception, as outlined in the Kardashev Hinge and Money-fuel tree stories.
I love that you keep kicking the old system, to me you are the Queen of System kickers, I hope you keep doing it, but I hope sometime you will talk also about the solution, being driven by mother nature.
