Maybe true that the rate of suicides among younger folk has been higher than ever lately, but I think you might be wrong about future demographics.

A lot of boomers are about to lose everything they ever worked for, and that will hurt much more than never having anything.

This is whilst those youngsters have their whole lives ahead of them, with every possibility of building something much better “From the ashes”, than the mess we built as boomers, from slavery.

I have every confidence they will do this, and it is our duty as boomers to do everything we can to help them with that.
