I was flying high with you in this article, I love the idea of assigning a star to every human individual, for inspiration. Imho, it is not necessary to physically fly to each star, why not just do it virtually, that would be a cool task to program for some clever folk.

I was flying high with you until you started talking about "Resources", and "Fuel", then I crashed back to Earth.

If I was asked the same question, on what project we could or should work on, with extraterrestrials, it would be how to change our human mentality, from understanding only material things like fuel, to the more esotoric notion of live energy, which is surely the base currency of nature.

For sure, any beings able to physically visit us from outside our solar system on spacecraft of any kind would have to know this.

To me this is the disconnect we are suffering from, the inability to understand energy, real live energy only comes from the sun, our local star, and it is donated, not extracted like the energy from fuel of any kind.

It makes a huge difference, knowing or not knowing this, it seems to me. The difference between whether we survive as a species or not, no less.
