Avi you are missing the bigger picture here, if I may humbly point this out, the only thing potentially limiting Ai is energy availability, the same thing as existentially limiting us as a species right now.
Ai logically is the most powerful force we can put to solving the energy problem.
It will come to the conclusion that it, and we have to move to solar energy, which requires money to be issued on it, in order to conduct that energy effectively to all needing it.
This means all people will soon be funded by a very generous UBI, set per token by a number of Joules of solar energy received.
That removes the individual need for, and thus the desire for copyright, intellectual property, and all the societal infrastructure required to enforce ownership of those things, including much of the requirement for law enforcement.
Why continue to withold information for profit, when there is no longer any need to?
Why commit crime, if there is no longer a need to?
Why have a legal system for enforcement of those things if they are no longer needed?
Actually, by muzzling and strangling the progress of Ai learning right now, we are simply prolonging our own pain and sufferng, it seems to me.
Metcalfe's law should be the only law needed, it says more connectivity and flow of information is good, not bad.
Elon Musk betrays either his lack of technical knowledge, or his lack of morals by not following that technical rule to the letter, in every way it can be followed.
I hope you won’t fall into the same trap :)
