As a former hardware engineer, I don't see how that is possible without increasing the size of the phone, it needs to transmit an awful lot more power than a cellphone to a mast, to get to the satellite, without even a directional, tracking dish on the cellphone, I just don't believe it. Further, even if it did, that amount of microwave power transmitting undirected right next to your head, wouldn't be good,
