Aren’t you doing the same by writing about your friends here? :) if it is any consolation, I did a study which showed it is the profit driven nature of all media platforms that encourages folk to share intimate details, by rewarding then with more attention in return for more juicy details. We see the same thing happening right here.
But it turns out a complete metaverse isn’t possible in any profit driven scenario, in the same way a complete vaccine is impossible also in this scenario.
I wish more of academia would recognise the problems of profit and call it out.

It is actually the profit driven system which fundamentally opposes us all to one another.
Even Ai wouldn’t be a bad thing in a non profit world.
