Assumption no. Deduction, yes.
Apologies, my response might have seemed sarcastic.
I have had to go over this with many scientists, and would-be scientists, we generally don't come to any agreement, because the scientist will always demand proof, for things appearing contradictory to established "Knowledge", all we can do is weigh up what might be false with what might be true, and make our own judgement.
Now I've gone over the energy problem analysing all of the dependencies on economy, using the practical knowledge of physics which has enabled me to create patented electromagnetic devices in the past, combined with my knowledge of formal Systems Engineering which I have put to use building large scale systems in use in space, in the air, under the sea, and on land, for the past thirty odd years, and to me it is much more crazy, and infinitely more unprovable to believe that the universe was created from a dot, than to believe that the planets of the solar system, which all rotate in the same direction, in the same plane, in perfect orbital equilbrium around the sun, and further that the heat energy existing in the core of Earth, is just residual heat energy, from when the Earth was still just a blob ejected from the sun. Such an event would probably have resulted in a lot of mass being ejected besides Earth, the majority of it would have either gone out into space, or fallen back into the sun, but some would have gone into orbit, and here we are.
It is a shame your curiosity dissipating so easily is probably typical of most folk, who can't be bothered questioning established narratives, this is why we are where we are at, on the edge of extinction, due to being driven by profit, into believing that there is such a thing as renewable energy, and that solar energy is no different from any we might extract from Earth, therefore creating an economy only capable of supporting energy by extraction, not energy donated, and on that rock we are likely to end, focused on the ground, whilst the sun still shines down on us.
My final, seemingly sarcastic question for you to answer is this; would a plant survive, if it never sprouted leaves? Think about it. Why do we think our species can do just that?
Hey-ho!
